Seoul Restaurant and Korean BBQ

768 Fort St, Victoria Tel: 250-592-4244

Having recently expanded into their neighboring space and broadened their menu to include bbq, things must be going well for Seoul Restaurant. The space is simple, but a recent reno provides a nice, clean and comfortable space for lunch, albeit a little short on ambiance.
I did not have the opportunity to try the BBQ on this visit, but Debbie and I did enjoy two popular lunch items Bibimpop (rice and vegetables, with an egg and broth) and Jiggae (spicy soup with shrimp, soft tofu and an egg served with rice) - both $9.95. Both  were served quickly and steaming hot, with three side dishes and green tea. The service was attentive and polite, with tea refills and the offer of refills on our side dishes. While not a wow'er of an experience, the food was fresh and tasty - a good choice for an easy lunch.
