The Little Piggy...Went to Fernwood will be joining a slew of fun, local restaurants at Fernwood Bites on June 20th in Fernwood Square. It's a nice change to have food festival right outside our front door, rather than having to drag all our gear across the South Island. Similarly, guests can walk or ride a bike for a change.
It'll be a fun weekend with Fern Fest (great for kids and free) on Saturday and Sunday, finishing with Fernwood Bites on Sunday evening (great for adults).
In addition to The Little Piggy, participants include the Fernwood Inn, Stage Small Plates and Wine Bar, Lucy's in the Square, Cornerstone Cafe, Aubergine Specialty Foods, Zambri's, The Parsonage Cafe, Paprika Bistro, Pig BBQ Joint, Devour, Wildfire Bakery, Silk Road, Stir It Up, Phillips Brewing, Tinhorn Creek Vineyards, Glenterra Vineyards, Twisted Tree Vineyards and Winery, and Victoria Gin.
There are lots of friends in this group of restaurants and the word around the square is that some of us are getting a bit competitive with one another, so look forward to some crazy eats.
Tickets for this 19+ event are $35. Ticket sales begin on May 14, and tickets will be available at Stage, Lucy's in the Square, the Fernwood Inn, the Cornerstone Cafe, and the Fernwood Community Centre. Buy tickets online here
